Mathana Santiwat, Ph.D.

Mathana Santiwat is the President of Bangkok University, Thailand, and holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Higher Education Administration from University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kansas, U.S.A. President Santiwat has her undergraduate and graduate educational background in Accounting and served as a Certified Public Accountant of Thailand. She started her career at Bangkok University in 1972 as a junior lecturer in Accounting; in 1985 she assumed the position of Dean of the School of Accounting. She became the Vice President for Academic Affairs in 1988 which position she held for 19 years. Besides her very active work for Bangkok University, President Santiwat is also involved in several government related committees, including her position as a National Quality Assessor for Thai Higher Education Institutions and she is the current President of the Association of Private Higher Education Institutions of Thailand. It is to be noted that Mathana Santiwat is a longtime supporter of the rights of Thai women and is a Member of the Executive Board of the Thai Women Watch.

Dr. Vincent M. Ribière

After teaching for 10 years in the United States, first at American University (Washington, DC) and later on at the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) in New York and in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Vincent joined Bangkok University in 2007 as the Managing Director and co-founder of the Institute for Knowledge and Innovation – Southeast Asia (IKI-SEA).


Vincent received his Doctorate of Science in Knowledge Management from the George Washington University, and a Ph.D. in Management Sciences from the Paul Cézanne University, in Aix en Provence, France. Vincent teaches, conducts research and consults in the area of knowledge management, innovation management and information systems He is a KM columnist for CIO World & Business magazine (Thailand) and he is part of the editorial board of the International Journal of Knowledge Management (IJKM) and of VINE: The Journal of Information and Knowledge Management Systems. Asst. Prof. Lugkana Worasinchai, Ph.D.

Lugkana Worasinchai is the Director of the Institute of Research Promotion and Innovation Development (IRID), Bangkok University. In addition, Lugkana Worasinchai is the Co-Founder and Co-Managing Director of the Institute for Knowledge and Innovation South-East Asia (IKI-SEA), Bangkok University. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Business Administration, and is actively involved in research on the relationship between knowledge management and business strategies. Lugkana Worasinchai is a published scholar, her articles appearing in major academic journals, she gives seminars to firms and public sector organizations, and is regularly invited as a guest lecturer by reputable international universities. Patrick Lambe
Patrick is a world renowned knowledge management expert, consultant, author, facilitator and keynote speaker. His specializations are facilitation skills for building common ground and knowledge sharing, decision-making in complexity, building knowledge strategies, knowledge organization and the management of expertise. He regularly works with senior leadership teams in these areas, and has deep experience in the government and non profit sectors. Patrick is founder and Principal Consultant of KM consulting and research firm Straits Knowledge (www.straitsknowledge.com), based in Singapore. He is a prolific writer, international keynote speaker and teacher in knowledge management, and an active member of several professional communities, including iKMS, actKM Forum and the Taxonomy Community of Practice. Patrick was educated at the University of Oxford and holds Master’s degrees from both Oxford and London.

William E. Halal
William is Professor Emeritus of  Management, Technology, and Innovation at George Washington University, Washington, D.C. An authority on emerging technology, strategic planning, knowledge, and institutional change, he has worked with General Motors, AT&T, SAIC, MCI, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, International Data Corporation, the DoD, the Asian Development Bank, foreign companies, and various government agencies. Halal’s work has appeared in journals such as Nature/BioTechnology, California Management Review, Strategy & Business, Knowledge Management Review, Academy of Management Executive, Journal of Corporate Citizenship, Human Relations, Systems & Cybernetics, and Technological Forecasting & Social Change. Prof. Halal is the founder of TechCast, a web-based system that pools the knowledge of experts to forecast breakthroughs in all technical fields – “A Virtual Think Tank Tracking the Technology Revolution.” He also co-founded the Institute for Knowledge & Innovation as a collaborative effort between the GW School of Business and the School of Engineering.Bill studied engineering, economics, and the social sciences at Purdue and Berkeley. Previously, he was a major in the U.S. Air Force, an aerospace engineer on the Apollo Program, and a Silicon Valley business manager. He serves on advisory boards of AMD Corporation, the World Future Society, and other organizations. Macmillan’s Encyclopedia of the Future ranked him among “The World’s 100 Most Influential Futurists“

Prof. W.B. Lee
Prof. W.B. Lee is Director of the Knowledge Management Research Centre of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.    Prof. Lee is the editor of the Journal of Information and Knowledge Management Systems, and International Journal of Knowledge and Systems Science. He established the Knowledge Solution Laboratory, the first of its kind in Hong Kong and has pioneered research and practice of knowledge management and knowledge audit in various organizations.  Prof. Lee and his team have launched Asia’s first on-line MSc. Program in Knowledge Management.  His research interest  includes manufacturing systems, knowledge management, organizational learning and intellectual capital-based management.

Eduardo Rodriguez

Eduardo has experience in knowledge management, risk management and analytics in the insurance and banking industry. He has been Knowledge Management  Advisor at EDC Export Development Canada in Ottawa, Regional Director of PRMIA (Professional Risk Managers International Association)in Ottawa and currently, he is Quantitative Analyst for EDC, Director of IQAnalytics, Director of Strategic Intelligence UNAD Colombia. Mathematician, MBA, MSc. Mathematics, certification of the Advanced Management Program McGill University. PhD Candidate at Aston Business School in the UK research in the field of Knowledge Management applied to Enterprise Risk Management.

Mustafa Sagsan
Mustafa graduated in Library and Information Science at Ankara University, Turkey in 1997. He gained his Masters Degree in National Information Policy from the same University in 2001. He completed his Ph.D in Management and Organization Science at Baskent University in 2008. He was the co-founder of the Department of Knowledge Management in Baskent University in 2002. He currently works as Chairman of the Near East University Department of Knowledge Management in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. His research focuses on KM discipline and applications, MIS, organizational behaviour and e-government applications. He consults on knowledge management and organizational communication.

Mohamed Rabhi

Mohamed holds a MS from Purdue University and a PhD from the University of Minnesota in Soil Science; has interest in environmental implication of mineral fertilizers on soil, water, and air.  He worked for the University of Minnesota as research associate. Then joined SABIC as chemical fertilizer researcher; held the position of fertilizer technology manager.  He championed the knowledge management project with SABIC R&D organization, and implemented a knowledge management system that was partially described in two articles presented and published in ICICKM proceeding in 2009 and 2010.  He is currently the knowledge management leader in SABIC Technology and Innovation organization.
