Dr Andy Jones:
Dr. Andy Jones has long and broad experience in the security of Information
Technology systems, which was gained during a 25 year military career. He was
awarded an MBE for his service in Northern Ireland and gained his
doctorate for research into the threats to information systems and effective
countermeasures. After his military career, he moved into the area of defence research and was employed as the manager of a
group of 80 research scientists and as a researcher and analyst in the area
of Information Security, before moving to a post as a principal lecturer at
the University
of Glamorgan.
He has gained considerable expertise on the criminal and terrorist aspects of
Information Security and has undertaken a range of research into Information
warfare and the threats to information systems and is currently writing his
third book on computer security and crime. He is currently a research
group leader of a security research group at BT.

Bill
Hutchinson:
Bill Hutchinson is the IBM Chair for Information Security at Edith Cowan
University in Perth Western Australia.
He is chief editor of the Journal of Information Warfare and is co-author of
the book ‘Information warfare: Corporate Attack and Defence in the
Information Age. Bill has published numerous paper
in the area of information operations. His main interests are in deception,
influence, and environmental security.

Maksym Schipka:
Maksym Schipka is the AntiVirus Technical Architect at MessageLabs,
the leading provider of managed email security services to businesses
worldwide. Prior to this, Maksym worked for Kaspersky Lab as a Senior Software Engineer delivering,
among other applications, AVP for Microsoft Exchange.
Maksym was born near Kiev
in the Ukraine
in 1977. He first became interested in computer security and anti-virus
technology whilst studying at Moscow Institute of Physics and
Technology. Maksym’s first position in the
anti-virus field was as a Virus Researcher in McAfee’s Moscow office.
Maksym is a key media spokesperson for MessageLabs on anti-virus and other internet security
issues, as well as a contributor to industry events such as the annual Virus
Bulletin conference

Richard Starnes:
Richard Starnes is an internationally recognised expert in information
security, incident response, computer crime investigation and cyber
terrorism. Richard has extensive experience in designing and implementing
information technology security systems, crisis management, policy and
procedure development, physical security implementation, audit and review of
information security programs. Richard has seventeen years experience in
planning and implementing information technology systems and security solutions
and is also an expert in identifying, documenting and reviewing current - and
developing - best practice, standards, policies and procedures. Richard is
currently the Director of Incident Response for the Managed Security
Operations Centre (MSOC) at Cable & Wireless. His responsibilities
include assisting customers and internal clients with resolving security
related events, in which an unauthorised entity attempts to obtain
confidential information stored on computer systems, gain unauthorised access
to data or resources or prevent a system from performing properly.
