| The European Centre of Knowledge Management Research at the University of Nicosia is privileged to host the 3rd European Conference on Intellectual Capital on the tranquil island of Cyprus. This edition of ECIC has two goals. The first is to provide a platform for presenting different academic and professional approaches (i.e. conceptual, empirical, managerial and multidisciplinary, case studies, etc.) and discussions on recent developments and the outlook for the future in the field of intellectual capital management and its related performance measurement not only in Europe but around the world. The second is to provide an opportunity for scholars, practitioners and doctoral students to have their contributions to theory and practice reviewed, encouraged and commented on within a supportive academic and professional community of colleagues from diverse disciplinary and international backgrounds. We look forward to welcoming you to Cyprus, its capital of Nicosia, and the University of Nicosia. With your support we are sure to make ECIC 2011 an enjoyable way to increase your own intellectual capital. After the conference, why not stay a while and enjoy all that Cyprus has to offer.
