| E-Learning is one of the most active fields of research and practice in Europe, in all the education and training sectors. The use of new and innovative technologies for learning is raising enormous expectation and motivation between researchers, teachers, students and other education stakeholders. The European Conference on e-Learning (ECEL) is an annual event that has been at the forefront of this revolution. It brings together groups of people in a variety of areas related to e-Learning seeking to combine cutting-edge research with practical, real-life applications, in order to advance the state of e-Learning around Europe. To achieve this goal, we are inviting researchers and practitioners to present their research findings and new ideas, and practitioners to demonstrate actual products. ECEL 2010 will take place in Porto, Portugal and will profit from the excellent relations of this country with Latin America and Africa to create the conditions to cross the European experience in e-learning with the e-learning research and practice that has been growing very fast in those continents. On behalf of ECEL, I would like to invite everyone interested in e-Learning, academics, researchers and practitioners, to join us in the beautiful city of Porto and participate in this exciting event. | | | | | | | Carlos Vaz de Carvalho Conference Chair | | | | |
