The
European Conference on e-Learning (ECEL) has become over the last few years a
major event in this field. It traditionally brings together both researchers
and practitioners whose aim is to explore, advance and improve e-Learning.
ECEL
welcomes contributions in a variety of areas related to e-Learning (as per
the call-for-papers), from varied groups of people of different perspective,
seeking to bring top research and proven best practices together into one
location, for the purposes of helping practitioners find ways to put research
into practice, and for researchers to gain an understanding of additional
real-world problems.
ECEL will combine cutting-edge research with practical, real-life problems in
business and in society, in order to advance the state of e-Learning around Europe. To achieve this goal, we are inviting
researchers and practitioners to present their research findings and new
ideas, and practitioners to demonstrate actual products.
ECEL 2008, the 7th in the series, will be held in the sunny Mediterranean island of Cyprus, in the famous coastal resort
of Agia Napa between 6-7 of November. The conference will be organized by the
Department of Computer Science of the University of Cyprus
and the venue will be the 5* Grecian Bay Hotel on the beach.
Participants who wish to do so, will have the opportunity to explore and
enjoy the beauties of this unique Mediterranean paradise.
On behalf of ECEL, I would like to invite everyone interested in e-Learning,
academics, researchers and practitioners, to join us in this beautiful place
and participate in this exciting event. The conference aims not only to serve
as a scientific forum for e-Learning but also to offer to the participants
the opportunity to come together and explore the possibility of preparing and
submitting proposals in FP7 on e-Education and e-Learning.
