Marian
Carcary completed her PhD in 2008 at Limerick Institute of Technology, Ireland.
Her research on ex-post ICT investment evaluation in the Higher Education
sector was funded by a research scholarship from the Irish Research Council
for Science, Engineering and Technology (IRCSET). Her doctoral dissertation
centred on how the Irish Institute of Technology sector could improve
operationalisation of and leverage benefit potential from a new ICT system
implementation. Her previous research interests were on the realisation of
competitive advantage from ERP systems implementation. She has published her
doctoral research findings in peer-reviewed academic journals and conference
proceedings. She has worked as a member of Faculty at the Department of
Information Technology, Limerick Institute of Technology since 2002
